I’m Back?

I went to a Dodgers game a little while ago and realized that parking was almost as expensive as my ticket.  Did you know it costs $15 to park your car in the Dodger lot?  Beer is $10; a little Dodger dog is $5. I felt like I was valet parking at Wendy’s.

Have you ever noticed how people who say they are easy going are sometimes the most stressed out people?  It’s like people who say they have an eclectic taste in music, but really they only listen to/like their car radio presets.  Just because you like Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga and Lifehouse, doesn’t mean you are eclectic.  Listening to KIIS doesn’t mean you have a wild musical taste.

I don’t usually watch soccer, but I’ve watched a couple of games in the World Cup.  Does anyone else think it’s weird that games end in a tie?  You watch a game for 90 minutes and there’s no winner?  When there’s no winner, everyone’s a winner…

I watched a the USA game with a group and a few people were drinking.  I don’t like it when people nurse a beer for an extremely long time.  It shouldn’t take you an 90 minutes to drink 12 ounces.  That’s like taking 30 minutes to eat cereal.  Yea sure you can still eat it, but it’s gonna be soggy and gross.  I don’t even know why that bothers me.  It’s not like it affects me at all.  I guess it just doesn’t make sense to me…

Have you ever laughed out loud at something you made up in your head, and then laughed more because you’re laughing out loud at a joke that no one else heard?  I think I do that once a day.  What’s even funnier is if you catch your reflection in the mirror while you’re doing it.  Not only do you feel dumb, but then you can see how dumb you look, which makes it even funnier.

But it’s good to laugh by yourself.  At least I know if I was stuck in a room by myself, I could probably keep myself entertained for a while.  If I went a whole day without laughing, I’d need to rethink how I’m spending my time.  If you could laugh for 20 minutes everyday, I feel like you’d be pretty happy with life.  Hopefully that’s more of a goal than an idea.

Well that’ll do for now.  This came out a little more negative than I was expecting; especially because I’m in a pretty good mood.  But they are things that were written down a while ago, and I decided to follow through.  I felt like I just had to get something down in an attempt to make this more of a habit than a chore.  (Why does habit have one “b” but rabbit has 2?  Silly English, spelling is for…freaks).  Hopefully I’ll become more regular sooner rather than later.

Thanks for reading.
