How the hell do you stop a toboggan? It’s one of the few means of transportation where your foot is the brake. Shout out to Fred Flinstone.
When did shortening phrases become so popular? Are we really that lazy? LOL? How often do you really laugh out loud when you write that? Or smh or hmu? WTF! Just write that shit out, you lazy ass. Notice the use of wtf was both applicable and hypocritical…
If you ever say “come on, guys, I’m cool”…you’re not cool…
Alright, that’s pretty much all the nonsense I’m going to add to this entry. Believe me…there’s more where that came from. I haven’t written in a long time, but I’ve recorded all of the really weird, idiotic thoughts. You’ve been warned.
Have you ever been in a stage where get a text message, and you really hope it’s from one specific person? There’s a brief rush of excitement that someone you are thinking about could be sending a message that would indicate that they were thinking about you. Whether it’s a hi, what are you doing, some random message, whatever. Just as long as it’s not like…”Hey, just wanted to let you know I don’t like you and this is the last text message you’ll ever get from me. I’d like to say ‘have a nice life,’ but I don’t think I’m really invested enough to say I care. Lose my number…”
Ok, that last part was a little much. But that’s one of like two messages that could be a let down. The other is “hey dude I just got ‘Shoot ’em up'” from one of your friends who was talking about their love for Clive Owen.
I guess that was a bit specific, but you get the picture.
When it comes down to it, you can’t really control how people act, how they feel, what they say or what they text you. That’s something that we lose track of sometimes. “Why could she do that? How could he be so inconsiderate? What’s wrong with them?” There’s nothing you can do to stop them from doing what they’re going to…do.
Once you accept that things can end in a way that is not beneficial to you, that’s when you know you’re ready for a situation. I’m not saying you should expect it, but you have to go into every situation knowing things can not go your way. Every girl you meet can be “the one” and can easily break your heart. Every employer can say you’re fired. You can fail every test. You could die tomorrow alone. A bit dramatic, but the principal is the same. Once you realize that the opportunities you have and the people that choose to be there don’t have to be, then you realize everything you have is a gift and not an expectation. You’re kidding yourself if you think you deserve anything.
Sometimes things just don’t work out when you want them to. But every decision you make is one that you have to live with. Every mistake should not be seen as a regret, but as a life lesson. And as long as you learn from it, then it can’t be that bad.
Thanks for reading.
